Gifts that give back
In addition to unique finds by local makers, the Guthrie Store offers products that support great causes. This holiday season, we’re offering two ways to give back to local youth in our community.
The Bridge for Youth
Since 1970, The Bridge for Youth has provided safety and stability for 50,000+ Twin Cities youth experiencing homelessness, and we are honored to partner with them again this holiday season. The Guthrie Store is offering a blanket and thermos with a limited-edition design conveying the hopeful message that the sun always rises. Purchase one or both items, and we’ll donate them to The Bridge for Youth this winter.
Ikidowin Peer Education Program and Youth Theater Acting Ensemble
Purchase any “You are on Native land” product featuring this beautiful design by local artist Adrienne Zimiga-January (Oglala Lakota), and all proceeds will go to the Ikidowin Peer Education Program and Youth Theater Acting Ensemble housed at the Indigenous Peoples Task Force. This vital program incorporates sexual health with theater, creating an innovative form of peer education for Ikidowin youth.
