Charlinda Brewster grew up in South Minneapolis and received a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Shortly after graduating, she moved to New York City and launched her career in graphic design, starting at small West Village boutiques and later working for large brands such as L’Oréal-Redken. She has also launched rebranding projects for nonprofits such as The Movement Theatre Company in Harlem, a creative space for artists of color. In 2020, she relocated to Portland, Oregon, where she works for multiple agencies as a graphic designer and flexes her illustration and handlettering skills on Instagram.
